Wizard Trials
Premise
The
player is a wizard thrown into an arena where he is forced to fight one enemy
every day. The player fights the enemy in a top-down perspective, real time game. The mechanics of the game are crafting your own spells before the fight and moving around while aiming their spells at the enemy. Before the fight, the player receives a
description of the enemy and must choose what spells would be most effective
for the fight. After each fight, a new selection of spell components for
combinations will be available for use.
Pre-Battle

During the Battle
The game will not be a turn based game but instead a real time top-down perspective of the action. The arena will be circular having no hazards at first but further on in the game, more hazards will appear such as fire traps, spiked walls, and arrow traps. The entire arena will be on one screen so there is no question where the enemy is or where their attacks are coming from. The enemy will attack and move in intervals and the player will attack at will depending on their spells' cool downs. Once the player takes too much damage, the screen will fade to black and have a defeated screen. A couple of seconds later, the screen will gradually show the player restarting their day at the wizard looking at their spell book and begin the spell combination process. If the player wins, the wizard will be teleported out of the arena and then a winner screen appears. After that, an enemy description will appear until the player clicks the ready button. This can reappear at the player's request on an option of the spell book screen.
